Little things like that sure do make life a little bit easier when installing videocards! The layout of the board is pretty good, the IDE drive connectors are in the perfect location to the right of the DIMM slots – this way the cables don’t block the case airflow abig interfere with the PCI expansion cards.
To be honest we’re a bit surprised by the lack of features not included on the Abit SRX. The board comes packaged in a nicely designed blue, black and white box.
You can also use PC modules, but the support is not yet official.
Most users tend to buy what they need and install as they go into one of the five open PCI slots. The Northbridge is cooled by abih green passive heatsink, which is quite unusual of Abit as they often have an active cooler attached to the Northbridge on most of their motherboards. This should come in very handy to many of you and from our internal testing, the controller actually performs quite admirably, even against PCI solutions.

Abit SRX SiS Motherboard Review
Most motherboards in its srr7 are abounding with USB2. Actually the board looks pretty plain, but as long as the SRX can deliver in terms of performance what else is really as important? So what do you get with the mobo?
It was good to see that even thought Abit used a standard green heatsink on the SiS Northbridge, they also took the time to apply some thermal paste on it.
